Testing Services

We offer short and long term radon testing services.

A 48 hour radon testing service costs $135.00.

A 48 hour radon and carbon monoxide testing service costs $150.00.

A do it yourself short term radon test canister costs $14.95.

A do it yourself long term radon test canister costs $29.95.

* For short term testing services, a technician will come to your home to place the continuous radon monitor and give a brief consultation.  After the test is complete, the test technician will return to your residence to retrieve the test device and print the results on site.  If high radon levels are found, a mitigation proposal can also be given at that time.

Short term and long term test canisters can be delivered locally, or sent to you by mail.  They include instructions on how to use them and the laboratory analysis.  A long term test is anything lasting longer than 90 days.

For homeowners, the EPA and Minnesota Department of Health recommend starting with a short term test, and if high radon levels are found, then a follow up short term or long term test should be performed, depending on the radon level found.

For real estate transactions, only one test is needed if it is done with a continuous radon monitor.  This is because decisions need to be made in a short period of time.  Using a continuous radon monitor is the best way to complete a short term test because of the accuracy of the machine, and also its tamper resistant features.  It records movement, changes in temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity.  You can be sure of the test results when it is done by Athelon Enterprises, LLC.

Radon Mitigation System Design and Installation

We offer Radon Mitigation System design and installation services for any type of residential building.  No two homes are exactly alike, and likewise no two mitigation systems are exactly alike.  The average cost for the installation of a passive radon mitigation system during the construction of a new home is $350-$500.  The average cost for the installation of an active radon mitigation system for existing homes is $1,200 - $2,000 depending on characteristics of the house and choice of radon reduction methods.  Any passive system can be activated by installing an inline fan and system indicator.  The sketches below represent the two main active radon mitigation system designs used in homes today.

Fantech is the #1 choice in the world for fans used in radon mitigation.
